Transfiguration Spirituality Center
In the heart of historic Glendale, an easy drive from communities in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Transfiguration Spirituality Center is a quiet but active place of peace. A ministry of the Community of the Transfiguration, a religious community for women in the Anglican/Episcopal tradition founded in Glendale in 1898, TSC provides retreat space and spiritual support for individuals and groups seeking a peaceful repose for a few hours, a few days, or a little longer. From personal meditation to family gatherings to group conferences and meetings, the spacious, tranquil setting of Transfiguration Spirituality Center offers a welcoming environment for all — business, secular and religious groups of all faiths are very welcome.
TSC’s recently renovated St. Mary’s building includes 21 guest rooms, all with private baths; three are double rooms (2 single beds) for a total of 24 overnight guest spaces. St. Mary’s is fully accessible and offers a full conference facility, including a large conference room seating 70 (auditorium style); an additional conference room which comfortably seats 14 around a large table; two small meeting rooms ideal for private discussions or spiritual direction sessions; a beautiful in-house chapel; a library and sitting room with sofas, rocking chairs, a large flat-screen television with cable reception and a working fireplace; seating areas with tables on two outside patios and gazebo; plus basic conference needs such as audio-visual equipment, wireless internet access, tables/chairs, and easels with flip-charts are available for no extra cost.
TSC’s Beth-Anna Cottage offers 17 single rooms with sinks and shared baths, a full kitchen, dining room, and a large living room/meeting space with working fireplace. Groups in Beth-Anna Cottage have the option of doing their own meals.
For individuals seeking solitude and self-sufficiency, retreat in one of the apartment units in Grace Cottage or The Lodge is ideal. In addition, the Convent provides several private guest rooms with sinks and shared baths (for women), a one-bedroom suite with full private bath, and a large library.
Wooded paths, benches, patio furniture, a swing and other areas for quiet walking and private meditation are located throughout the peaceful campus.
Reflecting the Sisters’ ministry of hospitality, the peace and tranquility of TSC are readily affordable. Overnight rates range from $55-$90 per person per night including three meals per day. Clergy, students and those with special circumstances may be offered a discounted rate. Day-use rates are available as well.
